Website Use The content on this website is provided for general information purposes only. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee that all information is complete, current, or error-free. We reserve the right to update or remove content at any time without notice. Enquiries and Quotations All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation. Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise. Quotations are fixed-price and include the scope of work specifically detailed. Any changes to the project scope may result in a revised quotation. Verbal enquiries do not constitute a binding agreement. Contracts and Instructing Work A binding contract is formed when you accept a written quotation and we confirm your project start date in writing. A deposit may be required before work commences. The deposit amount and payment schedule will be detailed in your quotation and contract. All work is carried out in accordance with the scope, specifications, and programme agreed in writing. Payment Terms Payment schedules are agreed in advance and detailed in your project contract. Invoices are payable within the terms stated on each invoice, typically 14 days from the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998. We reserve the right to pause or suspend work if payments are not received on time. Project Timelines We commit to the project timelines agreed in your contract and will notify you promptly of any circumstances that may cause delay. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including adverse weather, supply chain disruptions, utility company delays, or client-requested changes. Completion dates are estimates and are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in a signed contract. Building Regulations and Planning It is the client's responsibility to obtain planning permission where required, unless we have been specifically instructed and paid to manage this process. All structural and building regulation approvals are obtained by Lucstar Construction as standard for the works we carry out. Clients are responsible for ensuring their project complies with any restrictions imposed by conservation areas, listed building requirements, party wall agreements, or covenants. Defects and Warranty We provide a 12-month defects liability period from the date of practical completion for all new build and extension works. During this period, we will rectify any defects in workmanship or materials at no additional cost. This warranty does not cover damage caused by the client, general wear and tear, or misuse. Insurance Lucstar Construction Limited maintains comprehensive public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. Proof of insurance is available on request. Clients are responsible for their own buildings insurance and should ensure adequate cover is in place before construction begins. Limitation of Liability Our total liability to you for any project shall not exceed the total value of the contract for that project. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud. Cancellation You may cancel a project before work commences by providing written notice. Deposit terms for cancellation will be detailed in your individual contract. Once work has commenced, cancellation terms as set out in the signed contract will apply.
